Live Journal

I have created a live journal account http://mireflections.livejournal.com, and I will be using it here after. For my loyal readers...please find time to make note of the same. This change is bcoz Blogspot is failing to address few of my concerns, more on this later.

And.... I read my previous posting here in blogspot, and found lot gramatical mistakes, really sorry for making my readers frown while they were spending some of their valuable time.

Will meet you all in LJ---Live Journal, I would also suggest my readers to create an account in Live Journal where they can start writing down their thoughts...

Man on Fire --- Emotional playground

This is about a movie that depicts the relationship between a hired Bodyguard and the kid who is suppose to be protected. The emotional bonding between the two is the highlight of the movie, due to which finally he "surrenders" himself to save the girl. Even in real life we tend to get into emotional bonding with a something with whom we closely spend our time with. It would be amazing to think about how vital emotion plays a part in our everyday life, even I myself have tried to atleast project myself as a non emotional person for some reason or other.

At some point even while watching a movie, emotions get triggered out of the blue. Can we really be emotionally non binding to something or other, is there a social stigma attached to that. Are emotions really necessary in ones' life?

Answer to these are to be explored....

Back with a bang !!!

Last weekend I had some nice experience with my parents. With work taking most of my time I was glad that I was able to spend some time with them.

Had a long drive in the ECR, went to a temple there. On the way back, went to this nice captivating place "Dakshin Chitra". They have nicely built some traditional houses of south india like Chetinad / brahmin agraharam/ malayali house (christian / hindu).

It was thoroughly enjoyable experience for my parents, it was very nostalgic for them. Time worth spent, there was this household articles and other stuff commonly found in old houses, they all had a tale to tell.

I felt it was a must visit for people like me who have not got the opportunity to have stayed in that kind of a environment. Amazing it was!!

Rendevous of a sort, after a long time

It was fantastic feeling to get in touch with those you shared the best moments in life. So happy one will feel, especially when you have not met / spoke to these people for a long time.

For me it was 3 of my close school friends, 1 of my office mates and another close friend of mine in college. Amazing it was, happen to chat with all of these people within a week.

Just was wondering how good is this place when you have people around you to talk, people who understand your feelings, too good to ignore are these people around you.

Nice Travel to b'lore

After an exiting trip to Kochi, it was another nice travel to Bangalore. The Golden quadrilateral highway project is really a boon for everybody to travel across states with a minimum of risk. The stretch between Krishnagiri & Vaniyambadi was beautiful with the National Highway disecting through the mountain. The same cannot be said about travelling within bangalore, our chennai is far better in terms of road infrastructure.

The bangalore trip was in fact an official one,& was fortunate to meet my friends which should have happenned earlier, no regrets as they say "it is better later than never". It was a new experience in terms of tasting different types of food "mexican & chinese" in tgif "Thank goodness it's friday", this place was a typical example of the change that had taken place in bangalore in recent years.

Gods Own Country!!!

Last week was really eventful with my first time flight experience, happen to fly to cochin in early hours of Wednesday. Landed in
Cochin International Airport , with temp close to 20 degrees Celsius.

The same day I travelled to Kottayam , had a wonderful experience speaking Malayalam. Had a casual conversation with the auto guy...."Entha sare tamizh ariya?, "ICICI ATM Center poi, thiruchi varanum", "valliya lodge evada oondoe?". I was happy that I was able atleast convey the point to the listener (Bus Conductor, Auto, Fruit Seller, and other such vendors). After a while I was a bit comfortable with the language.

I visited "Marine Drive" @ 5.30 pm on Thursday, and was witness to a beautiful sunset. Only sore point is i did not have a Cam, specifically Panasonic DMC-FZ20S, it has not yet released in India. Iam still trying to get hold of the elusive one..

It was a wonderful company in the train on the way back to chennai, "2 foreigners, 1 malayli girl, 1 NRI, myself and a fresher from kottayam joining TCS,Chennai".

It was a experience to remember & hope to travel lot in future too.

Seethaa Kalyana Vaibogame!!!

Last week I was at my cousins' marriage, it was nice to meet a lot of people after a long time. And I was witness to some of my favourite carnatic songs including "Seetha kalayaaana vaibogame....", "Malai Matrinaal....", "Venkatachala nilayam.....", still i could not stop humming the best ....Venkatachala nilayam.

It was also a moment to cherish during the so called
"Nalungu" , where people sang their heart out some of the fine carnatic songs.
